Getting the injector washers out and found in cylinder 4 that the injector was missing the steel washer (did t touch these last time) and found this. Do i need a new head?

the piece thats worn is called an injector shroud, youd need to remove head to replace it
part no is 524680, you will want to have that injector nozzle changed as well 247726,injector needs testing and setting after

you remove hot spot and tap it out , then tap new one in through injector hole, it needs to be aligned ,easy enough job

Brilliant thanks! Britpart head gasket has failed (blown between cyls 3,4 and the tappets pressurising the rocker cover, not losing coolant though and head is flat) so head is off anyway lesson learnt ive gone for a more expensive payen oem spec one.

As ever your advice is greatly appreciated

Careful which injector seals you use, I have had some to big on outer diameter and impossible to remove once squashed. Normally I fish them out with a pencil pushed in which is enough to grip them.

Ive ended up dirching the ones in the head kit and got genuine ones
