Hi
I have to replace my rear crossmember in Discovery300tdi
and would be greatfull for any tip or advice on this job

its a fokin pain in the ass.... all i can is wish you good luck.. lots of it!

you have to jack the body off the chassi to get the cross member in and then weld the whole thing...

are you putting a whole new cross member or just the boxes on the mounts?

ho right, not the whole thing then...

do a search on the forum, im sure someone done that not long ago and they even explained how they done it

Done over a few days off as and when I had the time.Doing other arch today and can then start on the drivers side sill :(

If your going in there, check your boot floor and rear arches, you could save yourself a double job.

Thanx for all the tips I have already done both sills and some patches on the floor and wheel arches just have the back crossmember and a small patch on the n/s inner wing to do I think the rear crossmember probably looks harder to do than it realy is with the kitt I,ll let youknow how I get on
