I have just aquired my first ever Discovery, not really ever had a 4x4 that I've actually driven.
I have just purchased a 2005 Discovery 3 SE 2.7 TDV6 auto. (for the family wagon)
There is a problem with the electronic handbrake! The previous owner told me his wife accidently spilt water down over the handbrake switch and it stopped working.
Where should I start from here? Is it a case of a new switch?...... Something was mentioned briefly to me about a solenoid or actuator under the switch (from the inside?)
I have searched previous posts to no avail. I'm new to Landrovers so please be kind, I just need help.
