hi all i have a 200tdi disco

now when i got her i flushed the water system through and cleaned the temp sensor as the temp gauge didnt work i also fitted a new thermostat.

now when driving she sits at half way on temp gauge and sometimes creeps above, but when playing in the mud and shes working hard temp nearly hits 3/4 on the temp gauge

just wondered if this is normal?????

have you got a fan fitted ? have you felt rad to see if its hot all over ,top hose really hot once upto temp

mine sits just under 1\2 on normal round town/ sitting in traffic. (300 tdi)

make sure your rad isnt blocked.it may look clean but prob isnt..clean it from front and rear untill water flows freely thru the fins

my 200tdi disco sits just under half
but when thurmastat went a red light flashed on dash
and went up too 3/4
i have a kenlow fitted and no fan if that help you

I have removed my fan and now running fanless and only gets to half way when sat in a traffic jam. otherwise sits just below half on my 200tdi

wire up a Kenlowe on a switch just in case it tries to cook itself

I do have 2 electric fans in my garage and I intend to use one so will have a spare on up for grabs lol..
