I am trying to buy a Haynes repair manual for a Disco 2 V8 but cannot seem to find one anywhere online. Does anybody know if Haynes produced a repair manual for this model

Not sure about the Haynes manual but it would be worth downloading the Rave workshop manuals too.

Thanks for the tip SMARTY.

I have downloaded and use the RAVE manual following the advice in this forum. I was looking for the Haynes as its helpful for explaining how to remove body parts etc. It would also be helpful for the maintenance info.

Do you know if there is a manual for the Disco 2? Is there a substiantial difference between the construction of the Disco 1 and Disco 2?

Here you go, Haynes Manual Discovery 2 TD5 1998-2004 Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order.. It is only the TD5 one though but would be more useful than a D1 manual.

Wouldn't bother trying to compare D1 & D2 models, there would be too many differences to work from a manual designed for the other.

Haynes only do a workshop manual for the TD5 Discovery II, not the V8 model

There's plenty on a TD5 that's the same as on a V8, which makes the manual worth having.

For the V8 engine and other V8 model specific stuff, RAVE is all there is.

Thanks everybody. I will invest in the TD5 D2 Haynes.

I have also seen that there is a Rover V8 manual would anybody recommend this or should I just remain content with the RAVE manual?

Ladies and Gents,

Any feedback on whether the Rover V8 Engine manual is worth the investment?

As Haynes don't make a D2V8 manual I was going to invest in the D2 TD5 manual to cover the body electrics suspension drive shaft etc and possibly the Rover V8 manual to cover the V8 engine.
