Hello all

My brother has acquired a 1995 disco. Been driving it fine all day but all of a sudden after leaving for 30 mins he can't change gear while engine is running. He can whilst engine off but not while running. So he's managed to limp home in second

Any thoughts

check fluid in clutch reservoir,pedal feel okay

pedal felt low ,could be a few things but check fluid and try bleeding first before moving on

could be poor master cylinder or slave ,pivot gone through release lever or bearing through clutch fingers or just worn warped pressure plate plus a few others

Well been and had a look the reservoir is full. Pedal not quite to the floor but pumping it doesn't help a bit.

Sounds like what happened to mine when the pivot ball busted through the release fork

Thinking along the same lines as steviecops. I think you might be better to drop the clutch and gearbox and have a good look and mend and replace where necessary. Its a ballache, but probably what you need to do.
