Greetings! Do the car companies give any preferential discount to
active duty military personel? With thanks.

I tried that for almost 30 years. Didn't work.
They don't seem to care about my retired status either.

Rats.

Times have changed Dave! Due to war that everybody liked, some companies
are offering rebates and lower interest rates for GI's. Just call the
dealer.

The only time I regularly see deals offered is for veterans. Also to
get them you have to inquire. My friend is thinking of getting a
Dodge and he just got back from 8 months in Kuwait. Since he
qualifies as a veteran he is getting either a 1000 or 1500 discount.
Can't remember which.

Suzuki is offering an additional $500 off their line to active duty military
till October 31. The Grand Vitara and XL-7 are both decent 4 wheel drive
vehicles. This is in addition to their current specials ($2000 customer
cash, etc). www.Suzuki.com has the details.
