In my 1998 Discovery 2 TD5 (auto-to-manual converted), I’ve encountered some strange behavior from the accelerator pedal. Sometimes it works normally, but other times it cuts throttle down to about 20% and then returns to normal.
The last time it happened, the throttle was cutting in and out rapidly, causing the whole car to shake.
I connected my Nanocom — no fault codes or errors were present.
Yesterday, I cleaned the red plug on the ECU, which had a small amount of oil in it, but that didn’t make any difference in cars acting. Do you have any ideas what to check or do to fix it?
