Hello everyone - with a growing family we finally need a 7 seater to replace our Merc C class - despite the dated mechanics, the D4 came out on top. Being new to LR, I would be grateful if anyone has insight into the following:
1. Looking at facelifted 2014 model, ~20k miles, wish list has reversing camera (wifey wants), sunroof, xenon so SE Tech/HSE trim. Any other "must haves" re resale?
2. Price wise, seems to come around the £39-41k area at a franchised dealer. Anyone got any idea how much haggling room there is - especially with the D5 upcoming? Merc dealers tend to be quite inflexible unless you take their financing.
3. Franchise vs non-franchise - is the 2 y warranty worth the extra 1.5-3k versus an independent? I used to have one on my Merc C class, and frankly it was pointless - got fobbed off on two faults and ended up paying out of my own pocket.
4. Any recommendations re non-franchise LR dealers in Surrey/SW London?
