thanks mad hat man,i also have the props off the 300tdi if that makes any difference? i have spoken to various people and the responses are very different some say the box goes straight in with no mods an others say its totally different an wont fit at all?????

Basically I have done the reverse (I know strange, but customer always right ) and it was a 'nut and bolt' job. Didn't have to do anything to prop shaft.
