Has anyone changed from the early style dashboard to the facelift dash in a disco 1.. i've got to take dash out to access the heater blower so thought about changing dash at same time as i'm planning on changing the whole interior for the later one at some point.. Will it be a straight swap (fit wise) i know there will be some rewiring but can the later clocks be wired to work correctly? don't mind a bit of fiddling just want to know if it can be done..

yes, but like you say there is a lot of dickin around with connectors etc, for one, the hazard light switch needs the wires extending from the column to the centre of the dash, its no mean feat but it can be done ;)

Cheers Yella i don't mind dicking around with wiring i just didn't want to get a dash only to find out that it would'nt physically fit. do i need the later air box as well or is that the same as the early one?
:D

you need everything from a post 94 disco, even the steering column is different so your cowling wont fit, oh and the steering wheel

Thats what i thought just the heater box i wasn't sure about, had dash out of pre 94 disco before but not out of post 94.

so if anyones got a 3 door disco interior from a facelift model including dash etc giv me a shout.

i'd never seen a 3 door 300 till my next door neighbour got himself one a few months ago otherwise i'd have just thought that they didn't do one..

does the rear seat from a 5 door fit a 3 door and are the front door cards the same on 3 and 5 doors if so may be interested in a 5 door interior as i could retrim the rear panels to blen in better.

seats fit but door cards are shorter on a 5 door, front seats will fit on your subframes
