Hi All,
Could anyone recomend some good but not to expensive tyres for a Disco 2 99 TD5, I have the Goodyear wrangler at the moment but thier rated E for fuel and just woundered if anything better was out there.

Hi Sheppy,

Maybe BB can move your post over to the Disco section. ( Please Blue beasty )

Plus it might help if you explain what you require from the tyres. ( economy, mud plugging, greenlaning, motorway miles etc etc)

I got bf goodrich ta ko2s from 4x4tyres.co.uk
About £100 - 110 a tyre iirc but they do finance which works out between £8 and £20 a month depending what you go for. Might be worth considering, id rather pay monthly than scrimp on tyres

Sorry i'm still getting used to the forum.
I just need general everyday day use with motorway and a bit of off road when i get a chance.

There are numerous tyre sellers on the web. Generally reasonable new road tyres will run out at something around a hundred quid a corner and upwards for D2 tyres. Most suppliers will deliver them to wherever you want, I make arrangements with my local indie garage to have them delivered there and they'll then do the fitting for me. Reckon on an additional 12 or 15 quid each for fitting, depending on your garage.
Look out for special and promotional offers too, I got a set of Pirelli tyres for £99 a corner (full price was £130 each) provided I bought all four, that was the offer.
I've always replaced the tyres on one axle at the same time, but this time I was able to do all four.
