I'm thinking of adding a second battery to my Disco 2 and it appears you can fit two Optimas in the stock location if you move the ECU and jack.

I'm considering putting the ECU in under the dash using an extension loom, but are there any opening in the bulkhead big enough to pass those monster connectors through?

My thoughts are the ECU is safer (and drier) in the passenger compartment, plus it should help reduce the oil I have leaking out the existing connectors affecting the ECU.

But I'm concerned how I'll get the connectors through the bulkhead. Anyone done this or have any ideas?

If you wish to move the ECU then fair enough......but here's another option open to ya with alot less hassle with thanks to the UP

I would also like to move the ECU a bit further away from the wet (and the oil...). I've seen that site you referred to (great resource) but I can't imagine sitting a battery beside the turbo is going to do it any favours.

I take it no one has relocated a Disco TD5 ECU? I've asked a couple of the places that sell the relocation loom about how the connectors might pass through the bulkhead, but they haven't replied. Thanks - Steve
