Will the Disco 1 steering lock fit a Disco 2 steering column? I have a Disco 2 steering column fitted to a special I'm building but don't need the immobilser. Thanks

I can’t see there is any difference in the lock, the D2 switch appears to have more wiring attached, the immobiliser ring is a optional part on both models, so if u have one and its not required just unplug and remove.

Thanks for this, I think the additional wiring on the D2 switch is part of the immobiliser circuitry though I stand to be corrected.

The 300 series D1 immobiliser has a similar function with the “exciter” ring thats around the ignition switch, which as u know operates when the key fob is placed in close proximity to it.
