just bought a second hand steering box off a breaker on ebay come today but the dam!! thing wont budge on the drop arm side of things but the splined shaft moves where the steering rack connects to ????? any one have any info on this thanks

Its risky putting a second hand box in, could be on its way out aswell.

I know where theres a brand new Adwest one for sale. ( fit and forget )

Faulse economy stop being tight and fit a new one there like 150 quid whats that a tank and a half of fuel youll proberly save that with it being off the road for a week or so lol

Thats for a recon box though, and that can also be false economy.

I had a recon one that leaked as soon as it had fluid in it !.

£200 to £250 will get you a NEW OEM one.

google adwest engineering,in woodley berkshire - they are the ONLY OEM, and will sell you one from the factory gates
 
Yeh but you have 12 months warrenty with a recon the same warrenty as new but yeh if money allows get a splitzer
