Problems with the Disco - can anyone help?
ABS light came on a couple of weeks ago (off when you started the vehicle but came on after a few yards), when I checked it over I found the front drivers side wheel bearing had play in it - no problem thinks I, that will be the cause of the ABS light.
FItted a new wheel bearing (after arranging a mortgage to pay for it) now the ABS. HDC and TC are all on and (I think) the TC is kicking in on the passenger front wheel as soon as you start to move.
I have put a multimeter across the new sensor and it seems to be working as I can see the needle kick as the wheel is rotated.
The disco is a very early TD5 with no toys ie no ACE or air suspension
Any ideas please - The car is undrivable and the better half has just hired a car 'cos she doesn't want to drive the SIII

You will need to take it to LR to have the fault codes cleared, I had my rear hub replaced and a new ABS sensor was fitted that came with the hub, when the job was done the same 3 lights you mention came on, went to LR and was informed anything to do with the ABS being tinkered with will put those lights on, the fault codes need to be cleared, if the lights don't come on again then everything is fine, if they do come on again then there is a problem somewhere....

This condition is affectionatley know as 'The Three Amigos'
a search may help, but as tweets said, you'll most likely need to take it to a main stealer to hook it up to a computer.

As it turns out one of the lads in the LR club has a nanocom (sensible man!).
We tested it and found two hub problems - the one that I replaced (probably because I had disconnected it) and one of the rear ones - probably the original fault. Haven't had time to look at it properly yet but a cursory examination shows that the whole hub/brake assy is covered in oil so I am guessing that the axle seal has gone - probably leading to the sensor airgap being the problem (now being full of oil)

The end to the saga....
The rear hub that was leaking oil had a collapsed wheel bearing (but you could not feel it when driving the car). The bearing had loosened the halfshaft nut! and it was probably only the brake caliper that was stopping the wheel from falling off. Fitted a new hub and everything reverted to normal - all lights now out.
