I was wron, touchscreen came in in year 2004 for the 2005 model year.....
That being said, you should select the appropriate year for your vehicle this is on your VIN....
2AXXXXXX - 2002
3AXXXXXX - 2003
etc
if yours is a 5AXXXXXX you should/may select 2005

I have been using 2002-2005 option but if I go for 2006 I get options that look more relavent to the touch screen model. I suspect that 2002-2005 is for the non touch screen as it does not say 2005 with/without touch screen.
BTW it is a 5AXXXXXX

then I would indeed do as you are doing and select the 2006 model year (hence why I always 'used' to reference 2006MY for touchscreen as colloquially 2002-2005 is non and 2006 is )
Thanks, I will try it this weekend, I want to try and change some settings on the recycled LCM that I have acquired and they only appear if I select 2006. Hopefully it won't corrupt it.
Couldn't reset anything on 2006 so back to 2002-2005 and I managed to clear the error codes.

That is the problem with cross over year vehicles, they are uber confusing!
Diagnostic without vehicle specific instructions don't help either.
