Ok local garage plugged into the diagnostic plug in the passenger footwell and could get no power or signal, went to another who tried 2 machines, one which had its own power source and nothing so suppose its off to an auto electrician unless someone has had this problem and solved it.:(

yes you have a blown fuse, in the fuse box under the bonnet, its also the one that sounds the alarm horn. cant remember the number but check it.

well blown fuse is the easier of the 2 to check so would go with that first and then the corroded connector!

Just got home at the weekend, checked the plug and fuse but both seem ok so have booked the car into an auto electrician for Wednesday. Hopefully he will sort the plug, srs light and abs light all at the same time or at least let me know what the problems are.

Just got the rangie back, 3rd garage and could not get a signal, so suggestion is to get another abs ecu. This computer had its own power source but still could pick nothing up but when I had a sensor that was not set correctly in the hub the brakes did not work right at slow speeds but if I have to I will get another ecu, any other idea's.
