'54 TD5 XS 110 defender

Before I start removing bits... I'm trying to figure out the route of the wiring harness that leaves the driver seat box (ecu, abs, fuses/relays) and ends up at the instrument panel and, more to the point, how do I get to it? From underneath or do I strip out the transmission tunnel?
