Hi all,

I have a 4 year old defender bought from new it has only done 40K.
When I reverse then move forward i cant get out of reverse its also some times moves forward when the clutch is fully pressed down, Is this a clutch problem and why has it gone only doing 40K.

have you tried bleeding the clutch?
might be worth checking for leaks, then bleeding the clutch, maybe replacing the fluid.
certainly worth checking all of them before you start stripping it down for a clutch change.
