I'm sure this has been covered before, but searching just came up with engine differences. Apart from the engine and box, are there many differences between 200 & 300tdi Defenders? The one I've seen is a 1994 200tdi, and looks like its right on the changeover. Would this be 10 or 24 spline axles?

I've been saving a Disco 300tdi engine & R380 box at the back of the garage for a rainy day, so was really after a 300tdi Defender, but I'm struggling to see a reason to discount it other than I haven't got a spare engine/box kicking around. It'd help the financing of it if I had to have a garage clearout too!

Any other good reasons to hold out for a 300?

300 are 24 spline axles ,front radius arms are thicker same as disco,engine and box are further forward meaning 300 has shorter front prop(same as disco)and longer rear ,seat box and tunnel etc are different to allow for t/box

So nothing that really matters then sounds good to me
