This is my Defender as it stands and is in exactly the same condition as I bought it, other than I've taken the front number plate off the dashboard and stuck it on the front bumper for now. Which brings me to my question:

The front bumper is a winch bumper, with genuine LR rubber A frame. The winch bumper has no winch and to be honest I don't think I'll ever find myself it too many situations that actually require one - certainly not for the money the seem to cost.

Do I sell the bumper and the A frame and use the money to fund other purchases - I need a cubby box for example - or do I keep the bumper, sell the A frame and use the money to get a winch that I probably wont use?

I think this is just an excuse to show us a picture of your lovely motor.

However, to play along. I think the A frame spoils the look of the front, so I would get rid of it. I would just keep the stronger winch bumper. That's my two pennies worth

You might get lucky and get some money for the A frame, but I can't see it being worth very much I'm afraid. The winch bumper on the other hand is a different proposition and if it's well made or a famous name brand you could be looking at a sum well into three figures.

Very nice Land Rover. Looks a bit like mine but yours is newer judging by the bulgy bonnet.

I would take off the A frame and winch bumper (especially if there's no winch) and sell them, then fit a standard bumper with end caps and use the rest of the money to buy the other parts that you need.
Defenders look great in standard form and yours looks like one that's worth preserving.

I like the nudge bars/a frame. Though cubby boxes are hardly expensive? £40 off ebay for a standard one, £110 for a fancy one.

Dont buy a winch unless you need one

Cubby box isn't the only thing I need, but yeah I get your point that they're not that much.

A bit of research on eBay shows used A bars fetching between £150 and £336.99 (for one with two Hella spots included) since February this year. No idea if the bumper is any particular make or model. It's not been drilled or anything, I've just used the two holes either side of the slot for the winch wire to attach the number plate for now.
