how long does it take to remove the dash board from a 95 d1 and how easy/difficult is it?

does any body have any pics of their dash removed?

im wanting to see to all wiring in mine and redo the foot wells as there becoming abit holey now..

also does any body know legalities of leaving the dash out so long as all sharp edges etc are removed/covered? thinking of building a custom dash pod for all switches il have left etc but leaving rest out.
