or are you catching your fob if you keep the open button pressed the back window will go down

Is the latch triggering and actually opening the door to the first stop?
The rear door is CCU controlled, so it may be an issue there. autologic or the bearmach tool should be able to read the state of the module, however, a word of caution.....
I had a short on the tailgate wiring loom that caused the latch solenoid to energise when the lights were switched on; by the time I diagnosed the problem I had a pile of melted wiring loom and a lot of smoke in the car!
The rear door loom clips can fail over time, leading to the loom catching as the window drops. This in turn leads to the insulation getting damaged and opening a circuit to other circuits/systems.
I would urge you to do a visual inspection of the loom in the rear door, tracing back to where it plugs in to the main loom. If you remove the offside rear trim in the boot you can locate where the rear door loom plugs in to the main loom.

Thanks for your replies, no I am not catching fob and keeping button pressed, and yes the latch is triggering and opening the door.
If the fob is pressed once to open the drivers door, everything works ok, i.e. turn ignition on and door stays shut.
Yesterday, when the fob was pressed twice to unlock car, the door opened, so I took the door panel off, cut a flap in the membrane,
and sprayed wd40 everywhere. It did'nt do any good, it's still the same, so I took the window fuse out, just in case the glass got frozen
to the door rubbers, and knackered the window mechanism.

but did you take the fuse out when the door was shut or open if shut then ok if open it will not close the window up
