Not sure where to put it so il pop it in here and hope for the best... i used to have a series3 with the original 2.25 diesel in it and when that died i fitted the sherpa 2.5... now i no that you can squeze the 200Tdi in the series3 so does that mean i can rip out the slow as fooook 2.5 turbo pug engine outa my LDV400 convoy converted motor home (extra wide coach body) and fit the 200Tdi in the ldv... its an L reg if that helps, does any body no if its possible or has any1 done anything similar???:confused::confused::confused::confused:

the problem areas are will it physically fit.... nearly anything is possible with a welder if chassis rails are far enough apart and no suspension and steering is in the way... and mating the engine to the clutch/gearbox...might be easier to use the landrover gearbox and transfer box (with the difflok locked) and a modified propshaft. did the ldv 400 use a lr gearbox anyway?

Yes ive had a look and it looks the same as the landy gearbox, il have to check gearbox numbers etc to be double sure... even tho its bolted up to the pug 2.5 turbo... i think it would make a nice conversion, the weight of the LDV is 4.2 tonn as its got the coach body on it so the tdi wont make it fly and still might make it struggle but hopefully no where near as bad as the heap of ****e thats in it lol.
