Is there anything special about the big wire that runs from the battery terminal to the starter? Or is it just a big wire?

Mine looks pretty bad, and my truck won't start. I believe my starter is goosed but this can't be helping either.

Can you buy off the shelf replacements?

They are available AMR2215 is the part number, Rimmer bros have them at £95.64 new or e.bay at around £20 used.

Or maybe buy the materials and make your own.

Yup pic was taken last Wednesday, shame I didn't leave the engine running and so the LED DRL illuminated.

Turns out the wiring was OK. Just the wrapping around it was worn and ripped.

Replaced the starter, which was one of the easiest I've ever done, and now it starts like a new 'un!

And yes they're a joy to remove on these motors

Good job really cos mine are always packing up
