The other day my 96 disco 300tdi wouldn't start, it cranked but not start, finally got it started on 3rd - 4th attempt. Then today driving along it just cut out i pulled over and again it wouldn't start. Took a few more attemts again and strated on maybe 5th attemps. It drives fine power wise so i dont understand it if it was a fuel problem, iv got a new fuel filter anyway to try it and got some redex. Any other help would be great as i work away and leaving the car for my wife to use. Cheers

fuel shut off solenoid sticky or loose connection ?

like Sean says it'll be related to the fuel stop solenoid. Wether it's the solenoid itself or the immobilser is yet to be seen.
