any idea or tips on how to fix it. i like my lazy way of driving with out keeping my foot working.

Check the condition of all the rubber hoses. The system works on vaccum and the hoses tend to split especially in the engine bay. Another problem can be the hose connection to the combination brake light/cruise cancel switch located close to the brake pedal.
That should keep you busy for starters!
