so i retrofitted the cruise control on my 03 disco. all looked fine and i can see on nanocom that the switch works. however the Set + button doesnt seem to be doing anything? what am i misisng? how can i check if the switch is maybe faulty?

Silly question! But have you turned on the switch at the dash???

Yes, so i turned on the switch which lights up and then i got up to speed and pressed the set + and i let go of the accelerator but nothing happened. Was expecting it to maintain that speed or at least feel some kind of trottle response ?

if I remember correctly the brake pedalswitch has two circuits one for the brake light and second circuit to switch off the cruise.

As above! Check the pedal assembly, to check that the actuator is engaging when working the pedals?

Your D3 must be different if set, the cruise control will disengage if the brake or clutch pedal is pressed.

I had a problem with my pedals! Water had come in and screwed the main pedal shaft! So the actuator was not engaging with the cruise control or the brake light! Because of the rust around the shaft (see pic )

After changing! No more problems !

That's why I asked if he had checked the part!

My car is a 99 Td5!

Go with nanocom In BCU - Settings - Alarm/others - 4'th page and make sure that Cruise control appears as "Enabled"

i hope this is a bingo, the setting was not enabled. will have a go tomorrow and report. thanks for now
