005.JPGOK chaps I have been an idiot,
I bought a 2003 Freelander TD4 a few weeks ago and saw on ebay the BMW cyclone mod to the crankcase breather for £19.95.
First I thought I'd better check what was fitted before buying it. Well it turns out it was the original LR filter but.......
getting the cover out was awkward as i didn't remove the two injector?? pipes which run across the front of it. Anyway the cover was tight against these pipes and came free with a distinct 'snap'. Looking inside I found three bits of plastic, these being parts of the clamp for the filter.
But have I found all the bits?, this is my worry. Look at the last photo and you will see the small curved piece on the far left, I cannot find where that's come from, there is no damage to the cover that I took out, it MUST be part of the filter retaining clamp but I can't see where it would fit.
Any ideas please
Thanks
Martin

Its a long time since I did mine, but if you think its only part of the clip, don't worry, glue it shut. Your never going to take it out again, unless you want to clean a self cleaning filter!!
