hi rangie wizards, can anybody give me a clue how to get rid of condensation in my n/s back lights, would be glad of any help

Drill a couple of small holes in the bottom, that way the water can drain out.

Or fit the later 2010 ones that don't steam up

I'd start by trying to find out how the water is getting in.

It's condensation that causes a water buildup not water just leaking in.

I think the rubber seals breakdown around the lens

Is that why they fill with water when it rains? I've seen one you could keep goldfish in.

I've never seen one that full up !

Most probably a crack in the lens

I have drilled some extremely small holes towards the top of the plastic light casing, this allows for evaporation (height and moisture rises etc). I do not get a drop of condensation or water now. Just be careful to use the smallest drill bit that you have, and do not press when drilling, let the drill do the work.
