When I started my discovery td5 early this morning she sounded like a bag of spanners and then cut out, so I gave her another pre heat and struck her up again and it ticked over fine, has anybody else had this happen to them and do you reckon its the Baltic conditions

even with 4 glow plugs it should start easy, and only take a couple of seconds for the 5th cylinder to catch up

dw mine took a while this morning. just glow it twice then price the accelerator slightly when turning over and it catches. if i dont do that it wont start at all and if you put your foot down a way then when it starts and you release the pedal engine cuts out.

think i do need some new plugs though

It's the first time it has done it since I bought it, will give it two pre heats tomorrow morning and see if it makes any difference.
