Hi, I have bought a 1994 300TDi a couple of months back. It's speedo was a bit random (sometimes I could tell how fast I was going and other times I just guessed) and the coil light dis not light up when starting the car, the speedo issue was fixed by replacing it with another binicle cluster.

The speedo works fine but the coil light still does not ignite on start up, not that I have any issues with starting at the moment I would like to get this fixed. Any suggestions?

Just for info, the replacement speedo has a slight issue with it's illumination. With the lights off it still lights up excluding the temp gauge. When I turn the lights on then it illuminates and is the the only light to stay lit when I turn the engine off but leave the lights on.

All suggestions appreciated.

put a meter across the glow plugs and make sure you get some voltage in key pos II - if yer do it's likely to be yer dash bulb thats dead if ya dont it's probably the glowplug timer/relay thing

Cheers, will give that a bash although I have tried other bulbs in both clusters. How do I check the timer/relay thing?

It's a sealed unit so if it's gone it's gone - just make sure you have all the correct voltages as per this connection diagram
