There was a thread a while ago about the release bearing giving up so soon, and replacing it and the noise still there and our friend JM said it was the clutch springs rattling!!

To no surprise he was right!!

My clutch is VALEO and makes this noise, can't comment on others.

But steer clear from VALEO as the noise is really annoying.

my TD5 is terrible for this. No amount of WD40 sorts it out either.

Im just used to it now. but everyone who gets in mentions it and then it annoys me.
