My question is, if i whip the slave cyl off will i be able to see the pivot in the bellhousing? I don't wanna be dropping the box only to find its a dogey master cylinder

The slave rod needs to be firm and still sticking out the bell housing a good inch or more. When mine punched thru the fork(the ball end pivot inside bell housing, not the slave rod) it only stood about 1/4" proud of the bell housing(no travel left for slave)
Good luck
