Evening all, thought Id ask on here if anyone has any idea, tried searching but didn't really get anywhere.
Anyway, I bought a 200 TDi 90 on a K about 3 weeks ago. Basically, the clutch pedal sits where it should with your foot off it, but when you press it, it only travels about 1/3 of the way down then stops? It engages gear and bites fine, but has hardly any travel? It's miles off the floor..
It's been like this since I bought it, and at first I thought it will be a fork problem or something, but I don't think the problem is in the bell housing as when it stops, it stops firm. If it was in the bell housing, Id have thought there would be a little sponginess from the fluid, but it's solid.
Has anybody come across this? Could it be the master cylinder failing or something? I'm not too worried as it drives okay but don't want to risk further damage or failure.
Any help is more than appreciated!
Thanks, Ste.
