Hi, The noise always appears when the clutch is pressed to change gear, so I fitted a new clutch and release bearing (just as well as the release fingers were just about worn through). The noise was still there, no noise when the clutch is pressed unless the revs are raised over 1500 (vibrations felt through clutch pedal), and no noise when clutch engaged and in any gear, and no noise when engine revved in neutral. I noticed an alloy support bracket on the pinion shaft inside the clutch housing, as this got a bearing in it?, and is this noise normal, I drove a 300 tdi recently and you could just hear/feel a silmular noise.
Any suggestion?
