i have just taken the gearbox out my P38 wich has a problem with the clucth and discovered the roll pins in the clutch release fork are broken
is this a common fault and how hard is it to replce them

mine broke 2 years ago i fitted new ones and 2 weeks later they went again so i fitted new ones and put 2 small spots of weld , one spot each side of the fork where it meets the shaft i had no trouble since then

i did fit genuine land rover pins and they only lasted 2 weeks but yes i agree with jamesmartin do not use roll pins
