Was giving her the gun on the dueler when the temp suddenly rose, not quite into the red, so heaters on full and limped into the nearest lay by to see coolant pouring out onto the deck. Bleed pipe from rad to expansion tank had popped off so refilled system. temp then would not steady out (going from slightly warm to cool and back warm) so stopped and found bubbles in exp tank so thought the worst. Got her home and flushed the system, changed the thermostat (job that had been put of for ages) backflushed the system and got loads of air out. Took her out for a run and gave her a good thrashing, temp rock steady. No steam, coolant loss or bubbles so big relief . So hopefully all is well with the big red girl now.

150 mile round trip today, no probs, ran great. They are such smooth running even on coils like mine, thouroughly enjoyed the run, makes me wonder why I'm toying with the idea of a Sorento. As one thing ends though another comes along as it looks like Im getting the dreaded hot start problem as she had to turn over for about 5 secs before she started on a couple of occasions, so will be looking at that this week.
