ok so for a while the landy has been a little hard to start it has had a new fuel pump in a few weeks ago and since that its not been to bad. however today when i start it with no problems, the engine will run but when i press the accelerator nothing happens. also n the check engine light is on all the time.

any one help

Classic throttle position sensor failure case :
If the TP sensor fails, the engine will only run at idle and the MIL will remain on until the fault is eliminated. Turning the ignition off/on can reset the MIL provided that the fault has been rectified.
