I joined Landyzone after seeing how to change the actuator on my Discovery 2. I bought the landie unaware that there was a problem, when going to see the vehicle the seller opened it with the key fob, IT WAS ALREADY OPEN I realised when I got it home he had tricked me. Anyway I used the info seen on Landyzone BRILLIANT instructions, but the door deadlocked!!!!!. I read others had had this problem too. I tried disconnecting the dc connecter, no luck, then I sat with the old lock, locking, unlocking, IT SHOULD OPEN!!! I finally got the door open sprayed the lock with white grease and PRESTO good has new.
SO what I would like to contribute is grease the new actuator before attempting to lock and unlock your Discovery.
