Hi all.

I've picked up a aftermarket central locking system today from Maplin. All seems pretty straightforward and I've seen some guides of how to get it installed on here.

What I want to know is: is there an easy way of patching the locking system into the installed factory alarm? So I can unlock the car off my land rover keyfob. The control unit has input wires for switched ground lock and unlock. But what should I be connecting them to?

Am I right in thinking to do this properly I've got to get a Land rover module which links the alarm/immobiliser system to the central locking control unit? This seems a bit of a pain and I'm thinking there must be a workaround - I have read somewhere on some forum of someone hooking up the lock input to the volumetric sensors so when the alarm activates the central locking kicks in and locks the car (needless to say I can't find that thread now!), would this work and what would you connect the unlock input to? Maybe an extra relay into the system would solve this??............help!
