Hi guys, s2 disco, the cd interchanger has packed up. My question is will all replacements have the same connections as a factory one? It's all original hardon Karmon stuff in the car.

AFAIK they are all manufacturer specific. I imagine you can get adapters though, or re-wire if you are good at reading the circuit diagram.

As above "manufacturer specific" all u have is data cable connection plus a power feed, also the control data is specific to model, reading the circuit diagram won't help, so Phillips to Philips, Pioneer to Pioneer etc etc.

The question is, whats wrong with the player,

It reads no nisc on the radio. I did take it out and took the cover off, blew it out with an airline. It worked for a day and then packed up again.

If an air line cleared things although not for long suggests that there is dirt on the laser pickup, try one of these cleaning CDs, other than that remove the player, open it up spray the pick up with switch/ brake cleaner or electronic foam cleaner.
But then it could need an overhaul with some readjustment.
