I have an 80cm aeriel for the cb, its a springer style, is it to big to mount on the roof? would it be better on the wing? fitting it to a 90, no roof lining to worry about, i thought easier to roof mount but it might get caught when off rd, Where do you suggest i shove it

I'd say the wing.

That way you dont necessarily knock it off by going under height restrictions or low branches and you wont need to worry about sealing up the holes you'd have to drill in the roof.

Also, its probably easier to run the wires under the bonnet into the dash rather than routing down the door posts.
