when the inside of the cat completely breaks away it will be pushed to the back of the box and block your eggzorst.
how do i get the centre bit out? is it possible?
had a funny thought! you know the exhaust bolt i lost.............
think i might take it off and shake it for a while plus uncle has a endoscope, maybe i can see the issue!!! whatever it is, its very very loose!!!
that suggestion, in this instance is not only wrong but as much use as a fart in a space suit!!!

I have never got a large pole, pry bar, crow bar etc and rammmed/hammered it into the honeycombe to break it into bits and then shaken the bits out until I have an empty cat housing (it does take a good half hour or so)........Honest!!!!

how would one know how long it would take to rattle ones cat to death if they had never done it i wonder????
what will the emission test be like after de-cat? it is lpg and i can set it to switch at 1300 rpm so it should stay on lpg at the test station, think i'll have to dismantle my car again and find out!!!!

I didn't smash out the centre of the cat on my mates GTO. The internals of the cat didn't come loose and didn't block his exhaust. Using a long pry bar, a crowbar and a hammer I didn't knock the centre out.
I don't know how it'd fair in an mot cos I've only ever not done it as an emergency get you out the **** temp bodge.
had a look and its not the nut i was hopeing for!!! seems the cat(s) are ferked!! so i'll put up with the rattle for now till i can get exhaust off and **** the middles out.
i might just buy a new section.

without cat will it:
