Hi all. Just bought a spare key to my Disco and tried the key programming with Nanocom but without any luck. I am doing the whole programming but at the end there is still information NOT DETECTED. Old key works 100% fine, locks and unlocks the car so the RF is working fine. As well I have tried to code new key i other Disco 2 which worked. Any ideas? Is that a BCU fault?

Yes, I have done it through Nanocom video from their website so the procedure is 100% right as I have checked it in another Disco 2.

I have tried in every slot apart from the one that the original key is programmed cause I didn't want to delete it.

As long as the other fob works and the new fob is detected by other vehicle then the BCU becomes very suspect

I think I have found the problem. It looks like the RF Receiver isn't working as it should. If I go to the front of the car, it doesn't won't to open it, but when I lift my hand up or get it closer to the sunroof it works. Is there any way to clean it or make it stronger or should I just replace it?

Check the connections and the earth on the RF rec. Others have dried a unit out by leaving it overnight on a radiator.

Cheers
