Having a few alarm issues.

Alarm randomly triggers, sometimes within seconds of setting.

Or it wont set at all, unless you switch ignition on and off.

Or today it set no problems and hasn't gone off within the last half hour but that box has been left disconnected.



I opened up the battery box to find the spider box nuts had rattled lose. Removed the remaining bolts to find someone had already been in and bypassed part or all of the alarm.

My main question is, should that box be connected or not? Its possible it has wiggled free over time.
On the other hand, the alarm seems to trigger and the engine starts without it connected.

Think the alarm is fixed, maybe.
The rear door switch wasn't working the lights, found the connector heavily corroded so have cleaned it up and have set the alarm. Also noted that the alarm wont set with a door open. Waiting for it to go off again now, box has still been left disconnected.
