Hi all, I've noticed that the drivers side fan in my disco constantly runs when the ignition is on, all the others are off until I switch the blowers on, is this normal or could it be an earth fault?
Is the noise coming from a small grill next to the door mirrors switch? If so, that is the 'sniffer' for the climate control. Mine does the same.

Yes, that's it. Not that I know what a "sniffer" is!

The Climate Control system needs to know the temperature continuously within the cabin, so the sniffer senses the temp by sucking air through a sensor and feeding back to the CC ecu.
