I wonder if someone can shed some light. My Disco 1 (P Reg) has been parked up for a while and the battery needs to be charged (it turns over slowly but not well enough to fire).
I've just removed the battery to charge it indoors and noticed when I removed the battery terminals that there were 2 +ve cables. Obviously the main thick +ve cable and a smaller gauge brown cable connected to a ring terminal. The problem is the brown cable appears to have snapped off.
It doesn't look like an after market cable as it disappears into some sheathing but I cant see where it goes from there.
The battery isn't charged yet so I cant see if anything doesn't work. I'm wondering if its the feed from the alternator as it looks like a similar gauge cable.
Any thoughts appreciated.
