I've got a bottle jack similar to the one in the link below. It's fine for jacking on the chassis as its head is flat, but I'm guessing this is not so good for jacking on the axle. Is there a converter kit or a safe place I can use this jack to lift a wheel?

You dont need the cup, if you want a jack with one thats actually quite good, look at mercedes sprinter ones.
So long as your jack can lift to the height needed and its central on the axle beam, flat floor etc it will be fine.
